2023 - for the third year in a row, "Good riddance." More smudging rituals were performed and taught to banish the negativity surrounding people, personal property, or businesses. A couple of private investigations were conducted by Sean, Walt, and Cyn. The Old Hospital remains closed to the public by the owner due to City restrictions. Cyn was asked to be a guest investigator at Thomas House in March. Eric Freeman Sims of the Unseen Paranormal Podcast, alongside Regina Blatt of PPF Investigations, and Lee Pigg of Medics 4 Paranormal hosted the event in Red Boiling Springs, TN. Later in the year, Eric created a new podcast: Strange Chapters , and read 3 of Cyn's stories from Whispers in the Dark: True Ghost Stories and Eerie Tales (Strange Chapters Episode #1)
In April, following a podcast appearance, Cyn was asked by host King Mike L to guest-host as Cyn Shrader Hill Author on Legit Paranormal Podcast and soon after, Legit Paranormal News Podcast. She also appeared on his other shows, Legit Clips and Legit Paranormal 101. This coming year, she'll host her own show Legit Stories with Cyn.
Cyn has been busy writing, editing, and publishing her newest book, Realm of Shadows: True Ghost Stories and Eerie Tales, as well as the latest book in Mark Elliott Fults' trilogy: Chattanooga Chills III - Tales Beyond the Grave. All books are available on Amazon. Realm of Shadows features tales about investigations that were darker than others - more sinister. Several people also sent in their scarier stories. These are spots that bothered us in some form or other during - and many times after - the event ended. On August 23, Cyn went live on FB with Mark (video on Cyn Shrader Hill Author page). On September 18, Mandy Metzger Cummings/Ghost Sisters and Cyn went live on FB (video on both pages) to discuss several stories and investigations.
Elk Valley Paranormal was asked to talk about anything and everything paranormal as well as field questions at an October 14th event of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public Library. Present were Sean, Walt and his wife April, and Cyn. October 21 was the Tennessee Haunts and Legends Expo in Nashville, TN hosted by Eric/Unseen Paranormal Podcast, Regina/PPF Investigations, and Lee/Medics 4 Paranormal. Cyn was a speaker and had her books for sale there.
